2018 Our Write Side Anthology: Glasses & Ashes

2018 Our Write Side Anthology: Glasses & Ashes

What’s YOUR Cinderella Story?

Disney’s Cinderella, Ella Enchanted, Ever After… all Cinderella stories that are the same, yet very different. They all tell the golden tale of a cellar maid marrying into royalty. But what if…

the story changed?
Cinderella created her own destiny?
Someone stole it from her?
Anything else happened but what folklore says it did?

In 2018, we want to celebrate these alternative stories by creating our own versions of Cinderella. Accept the challenge and write your own Cinderella story. Dive deep into the darkest corners of your imagination and weave a tale from 3,500 words to 10,000 words. Offer us a story (or a poem) that would make the Grimm Bros and Hans Christian Anderson want to read it.

Deadline: March 15, 2018
