Bekindr "Kind Stranger" Contest & Anthology

Have you had a stranger save your life? Has a stranger impacted you in a way that changed the course of your life? Did you ever move to a new city and have a stranger help you get settled? Did you donate time or money and find out that in the process of giving you were also changed? Perhaps you were in an accident or were the victim of a crime and a Good Samaritan came to your aid? Or maybe you were simply having one of those terrible-horrible-no-good-very-bad days and a kind gesture cheered you up and changed your perspective? Whatever the scenario, we want to hear your stories of how kindness has improved your life! Bekindr will award cash prizes to the best submissions.

All stories submitted will be considered for publication in the upcoming Bekindr book (forthcoming, 2017-2018) regardless of whether they were selected as winning stories. Essays must be at least 300 words, but ideal length is 1000-1500 words.

•First-place essay: $500
•Second-place essay: $ 300
•Up to five honorable mentions: $100

Deadline is midnight, August 14, 2016.
No entry fee.
