Posted by Sally Clark on Tuesday, January 21, 2014

Chamberton Publishing Writing Contest
http://chambertonpublishing.com/writing-contests.html

Chamberton is excited to offer our first writing contest for 2014, a flash fiction writing contest.
Theme: Moments In Time: 1942

Based on the theme '1942' write a flash fiction piece using the image on their web site as inspiration. Who is she? What does she do? Where is she? Part of the Resistance? A spy? A nurse? Waiting for long lost love? A thief? You decide. Do not 'tell' who she is, but 'show' who she is. Carve out a vignette of her life, drop the reader somewhere in a day, her thoughts, a situation that reveals a moment in time. It's 1942 and the world is reeling with WWII. What about her?

The Terms:
1. Winners will receive $25 (and possible publication in an upcoming anthology.)
2. All entrants must be 18 years or older.
3. Entry fee: NO
4. Entry deadline is February 25, 2014.
5. Only fiction entries accepted.
6. Word count must be below 1000 words.
7. Multiple entries are accepted.
8. Send entries in the body of an email (or an attachment) to eveningfades@gmail.com
9. Winners will be announced via our newsletter first after February 25, 2014.
