Focus on the Family Magazine: Grandparenting Competition

Topic: We are looking for an article on the topic of why grandparents shouldn't compete with their grandchildren's other set of grandparents. This article should cover how grandparents should handle the relationship with the other grandparent in connection with their grandkids, the in-law and the other grandparents. We are not looking for an article about grandparents who knew each other before their children dated. The article should include an anecdote with each point made (beneath each subhead), along with expert interviews (not quotes from published books), insightful points, interesting statistics and short anecdotes. Please no lectures or personal experience profiles.

Word count: 1200 to 1500 words
Rights: First nonexclusive rights
Payment: $450, on acceptance
Due date: December 10, 2018
Byline: Yes — whether in print or online
Audience: Grandparents
