International Call For Writers by ArtAscent

Theme: "Portraits" – Portraits of people and animals tell such great stories. They evoke emotion. They suggest deeper meaning. They tell us about someone else, and maybe even ourselves. Sometimes they're just beautiful. Or shocking. Or surprising. Share your portraits with words or imagery. Entries may include fiction, poetry, short stories and other written explorations (up to 900 words). Previously published or unpublished are eligible. Awards: The Gold writer will be featured in the Art-Ascent Art & Literature Journal complete with a profile review. Up to seven writers in total will be published in Art-Ascent Art & Literature Journal; showcased, along with website links, in an online exhibition on the ArtAscent website for at least two years; and, promoted on the ArtAscent Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest feeds. Entry fee: $10. Deadline: December 31, 2017.
