MeeGenius Seeks Children's Book Manuscripts

MeeGenius Seeks Children’s Book Manuscripts

Established in 2010, the top-selling ebook reader app for young readers, MeeGenius is accepting children’s book manuscripts from writers. The publisher works individually with writers to publish stories for young ones (ages 2-8). The MeeGenius app (available for iPad, Android, and other mobile devices) enriches the reading pleasure for young readers by highlighting text and adding clear voice narration as readers read along. Additionally, the publisher adds eye-catching illustrations, pictures, and sounds.

Ashley Fedor, who formerly worked as an editor at Penguin Books, is the Acquisitions Editor. She welcomes writers to submit manuscripts of 15-20 pages in length. A page typically has 20-70 words. She and the editorial team will work with promising writers to further edit, develop, and publish an accepted story. Writers do not need to provide illustrations. The company works with experienced illustrators to add pictures to a story.

Payment: MeeGenius offers a standard publishing contract. Rates, royalties, and revenue are discussed individually with writers whose manuscripts are approved.

Submit only original, unpublished material. Response time is usually within 14 days.
